1st time on the LCD Bass Meter with a 144.5

Recommended Posts

Are these 2 dd3512e pretty much maxed out at 144.5 db? Trunk setup on aq3500d (old one). Is this possible to get them louder?

It depends bro.

Where is your box tuned to? Usually higher meters better, but wont sound as good on music.

I believe DD likes to be tuned high anyway.

Is it a daily driver? You need to give more information...

Box is tune at 34 hz and yes, this is a daily driver. Subs and ports facing towards the back. The box is 9" from the back of the car and there is a 3" space around the sides and top of box for the bass to get around into the cabin. Car is a honda Accord.

lol what year accord? I'd tune 38hz and above even for daily with those DD subs. If you got a 94-97 coupe then your peak may be 46-48hz. I got a 142 at the headrest with 1 dc level 4 with 3k no testing yet. But just move the box around and change directions and see if its higher.

maybe its just me but whats wrong with 144.5 out the trunk i mean for a daily driver that seems kinda ok to me

It's an expected number from two pretty good 12"s on 3500watts lol

He wants to be louder.

This is a 99 4dr sedan. Metered was on music but I do remember playing test tones and notice that 50 hz was the loudest so i'll try metering the test tones next.

I'd say 3500 is the limit for those woofers on music. Go to 9500's

Did a little fine tuning today and got a 144.7 at the dash and a 145.1 at the kick. This is on music and the car at idle only.

Not a bad score on music in a trunk :)

This isn't going to be anything drastic and probably already did it, but have you tried running the ac on beforehand, close vents, turn sun visor down, move seats forward, etc?

and btw i'm digging your score

Tried the running the ac first and got a 145 on the dash and a 145.5 in the kick.

now why would you do a thing like that?
