Obviously not the same !

What are your goals, budget, room available for enclosure ...?

I'd rather get an Xcon !

Never heared a Q, only the SSA Icon : it was really nice, but the Xcon is more powerful.

In the end, it is a win-win. Just need to define your goals and if you need the extra capabilities of the Xcon.

x2

You won't go wrong with either company. If you want to run that amp at 1ohm then get the xcon for sure. I think the fully loaded Q is good for like 1200rms in the biggest recommended box and around 1500rms in the smallest box, on average of course.

But both will be great SQ drivers. and get loud from what I hear about the xcon

Both are great subs, but we'll need some clearly defined goals to make a recommendation.

Q will take a beating fully loaded for sure...

It'll take that amp as long as you dont clip it. But i would try out the Xcon.

I have a small car which is a 2011 sedan Toyota Corolla Type S. I like the factory speakers already, just needed a sub. I heard good things about both company, but I want something that sounds smooth, clean and loud. I don't think I will upgrading my electrical and I'm leaning more towards a 15 xcon sealed. Would that be ok with my electrical?

Electrical will depend on your amp not your sub.

Ok, so will I be okay with a BRZ 1700.1D powering a 15 xcon sealed @ 1ohm on stock electrical?

Electrical will depend on your amp not your sub.

yeah 100 amp alt is not gonna be big enough for around 1700rms, your lights will dim at full tilt.

Do the big 3 and see if you need a second battery in the back.

It could be fine !

My Toyota can handle this easily ! Even more with the second battery.

Having an Xcon 15, I highly doubt your factory speakers will keep up. Either plan to update them later or get a smaller substage
