BTL recone PSI, FI or ??

Recommended Posts

I have a 12" FI BTL with the UfO motor that needs to be reconed. Who makes the best recone kit for it, I currently only know of FI and PSI recone kits but I'm not sure what one is better. Who makes the best recone kit for it? If another company makes one that would allow me to have 3000w rms that would be perfect. Please let me know what my options are and what you recommend.

The wait stinks, but do the Fi recone.  The other option has shown by many to be the wrong option.

Ok, thank you. Do you know what the correct FI recone kit is for the FI BTL UFO Motor? They have quite a few diffrent BTL recone kits and I'm not sure what one is the correct one. None of them say UFO motor.

It's right on the website, called "New Single Magnet" on the BTL recone page.

Have you ever reconed a sub before?

No, but I watched youtube videos and learned how. Its going to be real simple for be cause I won't have to clean off the basket, I'll be starting with a new basket.

You still need to sand where the spider and surround landings are.

I would for sure pass on PSI, they would be last choice. If you could build from loose parts, there's better parts out there in my opinion. But I don't think that's an option unless you send it off to someone else. Don't get too mad about your 1.5-2mo wait.
