Can Fiberglass Resin Fumes Damage Sub?

Recommended Posts

Sealed my box with resin, waited 5 days before I mounted my sub and put the box in my trunk, got in the car the next day and could smell the resin. It wasn't super strong but I could definitely smell it. can the fumes damage my sub? Is the fact that I can still smell it a sign I didn't mix the resin and hardener correctly? It has been cold lately so maybe it isn't curing properly? Should I be concerned?

You'll get used to it. But it'll soak into the car interior and new passengers will smell it for weeks.

I had that smell for months in my car. Now I know to fully cure the resin before fanning it into my car.

But I don't need to worry about it damaging my sub? Like breaking down glue or something like that?
