Only if you build a good box and use the ssf and set the gain right.

 

Because you can still blow the zcon with less then rated power.

gain was set correctly, they just didnt hold up to the RMS that they claimed (sub manufacturer's name withheld)

Emphasis on the word MUSIC. Set gains with MUSIC.

I set mine with music and on some songs you still get clipping or hear stress.

 

This is do to the fact not all music is recorded the same.

 

So if I hear clipping or stress on a certain song I turn the volume down.

i appreciate all the feedback, as currently being discussed in another topic, prior to joining this group this week, i was also on the DD1 bandwagon.  I am glad I didnt waste my money.
