How do i check the voice coil on the RL-P?

I got a DMM but i was wondering where do i need to stick the positive and negatives to know what my voice coil config is...

anywhere as far as i'm concerned if you only wish to measure the impedance.

positive and negative only counts when it comes to measuring amps and volts.

it doest matter which way you wire it, red to red, or red to black. All that matters is if you wire it in parallel or series. Also when you measure it, try not to move the cone because that will throw off the resistance measurement. My moving the coil through the magnet by hand you actually invoke current in the coil. Sort of like a reverse speaker, you

Mine measured out to be 2.3 on each coil lol...

DMMs kick ass lol, I'm going to be using it for everything now. I didn't know that they were as useful as peps on the forums made em out to be. All this sweetness in a $30 or less package.

Price doesn't mean its the best. Thats why an RL-P is every bit as good as an 05 model xXx... :runlaugh::slayer:

Sure... in test equipment, price does mean better. I wouldn't want to use a $30 DMM when checking voltages on the equipment that makes sure that your plane is lined up on the runway! :D

But... for what you are using it for, it does what it needs to do.
