So after a couple months I finally got my George Balias muffler and elbow pipe for my 2010 Buell xb12ss. Installation was anything but a breeze. But that wasn't GB's fault, more so the fact that the oil filter was in the way of me disconnecting a mounting bracket for the original exhaust. ended up having to just sawing it off! So that was hard, especially because we didn't have power... but other than that the thing bolted right up!!! definately weighs less than stock, somewhere near 1/2 original muffler weight i would say. The look isn't too aftermarket, it actually looks like to me that it actually might belong on the bike. Picture time!! Note: The GB exhaust doesn't utilize the chin fairing. EDIT: the exhaust is actually a magnaflow muffler that George takes and manipulates it for bext results on the Buell.

Champion spark plugs are simply not what they used to be IMO. I am around A LOT of guys who build muscle cars that are everything from mild streeters to all out strip only drag racers. Most of them use NGK plugs, some Denso's and a brand or two I've never heard of. Most would be embarrassed if anyone saw them with Bosch plugs in their cars. They really don't like them at all. Personally, ever since I used to race motocross I became a believer and lifetime user of NGK. I'd recommend using anything in the NGK lineup, you won't be sorry. As far as the Iridium's, I have a set in the van. There was a noticeable difference in the throttle response and the was a few added miles per tank. That's my .02

I change my plugs every year, so I use the best plug ever made, the simple, cheap, copper plug. The ONLY positive thing about the different metal plugs are the fact that you can run them for tens of thousands, some even hundreds of thousands, of miles before a change. The metals are harder and do no degrade or corrode as easily as copper. They do not deliver any better performance and could even hinder it slightly. Think about it. . . Do you run copper wire to speakers or do you use iridium or platinum? Which is the better conductor? The same applies to plugs and wires, hell any electrical part of the vehicle.

just put in some Denso IK20 into my Toy Cam 4cyl the other day. They are Iridium and have noticed a few more miles in the past 2-3 weeks since I installed them. go Iridium, like was said. they don't get replaced often and are part of basic function but I wouldn't spend more than 12 a piece... $50 is max, picked mine up from the tropical sort of site and only paid about $10 each.

I am one of those oem people, but I would recomend no matter what you decide to go with the NGK brand of plug.

something like spark plugs, that are going to last years between replacements, I can see paying more for, because they are essential to the car's basic function and you don't want them to mess up. I'd say go with the iridium.

I use the iridium ones made by NGK and I think they are about $8-$10 each, but imo it's worth it.

I'm not sure if the brand would be the same, but the idea may still be there.

On a couple forums i read, crxcommunityforum and d-series. net, they both highly recommend NGK v-power. They are about 2$ each, while the more expensive (~10$ each) aren't worth it.

I use the Iridium spark plugs for our jeeps and two stroke dirt bikes and love them. We've never fouled a plug on the dirt bikes, and the spark plugs are always good when replaced.

Yo dawg I hurr you wuz lookin fo' some bang in yo' trunk. I'm only 19... by READING everything i could i LEARNED all of the things i KNOW about car audio. I've only been in the game for about a year or so. And no, Mommy and daddy didn't buy everything. ask ACTUAL questions with more details and we'll be able to teach you. None of this "If i have a Xplod on a Xplod 393939393 watt amp" bullshit, this is all install dependent. /thread

Hey Mike, here is the latest box I built for the sub I just got in the mail from ya. & damn I love these subs. Just finished it tonight so I couldnt crank it up, but I will post a video tomorrow for everyone. I cant believe Mike still has any of these left for the price he is giving them away at.

3 wires to 2 ohms, 4 to 1.5. Power per sub is the same (or close enough) either way. Budget wise and width wise, I'm more comfortable with 3. 6 would be great (and get full power out of the amp), but I don't have that much money or room. 6 ohm coil isnt' that big a deal unless your into playing numbers games. I'm not, so I don't care. I don't try to match up RMS ratings or any of that business. I know that I've gotten plenty of output for me with 400 watts on the sub setup. Roughly double that will be more than enough for me.

2000-4000watts so i guess itll be perfect might be on the higher side just have to send clean bass to it and it should be fine an extra 2000 watts over the rms rating is a huge jump. Hope you know what your doing. Some people put that much on it but its install dependent. You need to have a good electrical system to power 4000 watts as well. If your gonna have 4k watts then just get 2 btls or tone it down a little

2000-4000watts so i guess itll be perfect might be on the higher side just have to send clean bass to it and it should be fine That's an incredibly dumb thing to say. Ahh 2000 to 4000 whats the difference... Might be on the higher side... Fi doesn't list rms as 2000-4000, you made up 4000 being the "high side". Just because the signal is clean doesn't mean it won't destroy the beefiest drivers. P.S. go ahead and -1 me for stating my opinion Oh and is this for daily or burping? 4k on a btl for burps is a whole nother thing
