mostly to keep your car or truck from sounding like someone is in the trunk beating on it trying to get out when the bass hits..it kills ratles

It also removes road noise.

What do you want to hear when you're listening to your music? I personally just want to hear my music and nothing else.

The best thing I have done to the car.

Sure helps ear fatigue & driving comfort besides calming rattles.

Only two things that I am concerned with:

1) Lowering the "noise floor" of the vehicle itself

2) Improving the clarity and response of the drivers mounted in the door

And indeed those are the two biggest ways to make your stereo sound better and your whole driving experience more enjoyable.

I would suggest getting the smallest pack of Damplifier from Second Skin, and putting it around your front door speakers and hearing the difference. Then see the results. ;)

When my sister gets back from Italy and the camera is home, I can post pictures of my winter beater deadening which is specifically the area around the front speakers and the inside of the front door panels.
