What do you have it set on aux1 or aux2?

No you have to go into your menu and turn the aux input ON to either aux1 or aux2 for it to work.

my friend has that same one ... for his ipod i think he had to buy a special cable that charges it and it is a pain in the ass because you have to scroll through all of the songs using the small screen they have ... he found it easier to actually just disconnect it and find the song and then reconnect it ahahahah

This is why I don't mess with Kenwood's lower line. Excelon or nothing. I had a lower-end Kenwood head unit from like 2004, and noticed an SQ improvement upon the direct swap with my Alpine. Head units shouldn't color sound like that. Plus it skipped quite easily.
