I have a dealer news letter from Ian Castell dated Feb.9 1993 talking VERY Excitedly about some of the New Series VIII products to newly be launched.

Lastly listed is "NEW DDAP processor-AURORA VIII launches a new era in automotive sound recreation. Incorperated in a 3 piece design (din size,dash mounted menu driven controller, and trunk mounted central processor unit and power supply) are Two equalizers (one parametric, one graphic) a totally variable 6 way electronic crossover, preset and customizable surround sound fields and delays, compensation for automotive speaker time smears by deploying digital time alignment, and built in noise gate technology. BEST of all Suggested retail is $1200.00! Incredible response from press and dealers urges me to suggest that even in advance of the finalized dealer pricing, Orders should be placed ASAP."

i used to have 2 of the version VII's.. were small ones and i cant remember the names but they were strong as hell... ODIN i think was one of them. I used to love those old hifonics amps.
