Congrats Mike1. Looks like you got a nice ride. How many miles?

Take it easy on the ricy stuff and you'll be in good shape.

...and for the love of god DO NOT put on new wheels before lowering it! That's the most common/lame mistake I see.

57 miles

Respectable

Not :bandwagon:

When I had my bug I did the same, had a ghost logo where there normally was one on the hood but all the trim and logo's must come off! I did the inside and out, but heck of a lot easier to mono-color an old one.

I like the big air gaps and 5 spokes, what size are you going to go with?

Where are you shopping? I need some 18's for my M next spring. Going to keep the 17's for snoshoes.

Regretably those are not going to work on your car then...

Pretty hard to have RWD offset and FWD offset in the same rim and the schtuff that they make for bimmers won't have the FWD offset even possible. Definetely one weird thing Bm'er does is with the setup of their rims. Of course, for me I won't sacrifice any performance to go bigger. I need a real specific offset and less than 22lbs in an 18 or 19, tough to find if it ain't OEM or OEM knock-off (or of course absurdly expensive)

I've always been fond of BMW's choice in wheels. I am really keen on the new X5 20s. They are so elegant, yet subtle. I love it.

The M3 rims with the satin black inside and polished face are very nice.

I would suggest going on VW forums to see what other people have on their cars so you can get an idea. Should have gotten stick, would be a little bit faster and more fun to drive.
