Enclosure Build for 10 Inch KH501 (1 Cube @ 32 Hz)

Recommended Posts

This box is for a 10 Inch KH501 sub. We are using a 3 Inch aero port, I have not cut the hole for the port yet as I do not know the correct size. All of the edges are rounded over, with the sides indented. The box fits perfectly in a mustang as shown :)

I've seen some other box builders do the same thing. Why did you leave a gap and not put the part all the way to the end ? Is it stronger that way?

I would have to go out in the garage and look, but my DeWalt counter sink bit broke so I had to do it this way :(

Most countersink bits are almost as large as the screw, the exact reason behind this is not coming to me right now...

These are the one I normally get, $28 and I only need the #8 one but you can only buy them in 3's. DeWalt gets you good like that :(

first pic shows the bit for his predrill,

second pic shows the bit for his countersink,

not sure why he did not point this out to you, but it works when you do not have a predrill countersink on hand.

alot slower but it works. make sure on your countersink bit you do not go too deep or get too relaxed, you will sounter sink a half inch depth quite easy....

looking good on the build.

keep them coming

Looks good! The box looked kinda big in the trunk so I thought you were gonna fire it foward and seal off the trunk at first.

Really good job!
