I don't get the whole fixation with Ipod's.

But maybe that's just me. I'm not really into the whole "tiny little techy things that nobody really needs but everybody really wants" scene much.

I used to have a 3rd gen ipod and could barley use a gig. I had a 10 gig so it went to waste. I sold it almost 6 months ago and I'm in the market for anew one. This is perfect for my needs (very small so it can fit in my pocket at the gym, size is perfect for how many songs I put on it, and it's very affordable)

others may actually use the higher gig models but I only need a gig.

Me neither ... but I actually make use of my iPod. I'm using it more than I thought I would be.

ok you all asked for it...we came up with this in my technology class.

itard.jpg

i have two problems with apple (besides their horribl OS, ugly looks, and sucky marketing strategy)

first is this iPod chit. 90% of the people who buy iPods buy them because they are the most popular and they are teh "cool" thing to have. let me ask you this. WHO THE fudge NEEDS EVEN 20 Gig OF MUSIC... i have over 4 days of music and i couldnt fill up a 20 gig ipod. then there is the 80 gig...give me a brake... i dont even have an 80 gig harddrive. i have all that music and hundreds if not thousands of photos, alot of which are high resolution, video's, school projects, gords of programs... all of which is barely touching the half way mark on my 40gig...

this Nano is so poular because its the new "cool" thing to have... if i can find the apple "iProduct" image ill post it for sure (it was posted on SIN, look over there). it doesnt matter how grosly unneded it is, if its apple, there are people who will buy it.

second

There is user friendly and then there is retard friendly... hence the photo. apple cant even stand to use a mouse that has two seperate buttons. i geuss that is because the fudgetards who love them are more like cave men and just hit it with their fist.

Fruit is for eating and San Francisco... not computers

end rant

however the nano makes more sence than the regular ipod, 4 gig of flash memory...still, for the price and not much bigger, why not pay an extra $50 and get 5 times the memory in a 20 gig ipod since pretty soon they will handle video as well.

I agree. If the Nano happens to fit your budget, requirements, and you know what you're looking for ... go for it. If you're just in the market for an iPod/mp3 player, spending $50 more for a fullsize one makes a hell of a lot of sense.

It comes in black so its cool.

Apple has a mouse that has 4 "buttons"

I know for a fact that my brothers CreatiVe ZEN would fail that stress test horrobly.

the stress test was pretty good, ive dropped my TDK while running probably doing 6-7mph and it didnt hurt it, however running mine over with a car or dropping it at 50mph (even 30mph) would surely leave it in 3+ peices. however... how many people throw their MP3 player off a 40ft drop or run over it with a car or drop ir going 50mph... not many.

i geuss im too anti apple or something. ive hated them since i was like 9 years old and i was in the Gifted Program in Seminole county and we make these gay little pictures which moved on what were old apples for the time. the ones that ran off of an OS which was based off of the 5" floppies... it had no true operating system... think DOS with pictures.

apples latest computer and thoes chit boxes i use for BB gun target practice

Picture368.jpg

Picture369.jpg

only have one button and have the most retard friendly OS ever... it though XP was uber user friendly... Mac OS 10. w/e kills it so bad it killed itself.

I think the iPod is cool, just the was you use it, seems alot better than the others. What I dont like is the 100+ "addons" that are $100 a peice or whatever.. and Apple compters are disgusting.

I use my ipod all the time, everytime I work out, or I want to listen to music and amanda wants to sleep, or I have to wait somewhere for something,

I have extensive experience with the MAC OS, and I feel for most needs it is still superior to XP Pro, and my daily machines are a G4 and a Dell, both are over 2 years old, but one is much more stable and reliable, take a guess which ;)

The reason why this bugs me, and why I comment on this, is simply because of your ignorance. Now, there are plenty of opinions here why Apple is better than any other technology company, but, those are based on our opinions. Please allow me to present some facts, in hope that you form a more concise and fair opinion.

Fact: XP when compared to OSX is PROVEN more insecure, more unstable, manages memory poorer, many UI design experts agree that XP has a more complicated and counter-intuitive UI.

Fact: Apple computers has the highest market share in the science, medicine, educational, and graphic arts industries than any other computer company.

Fact: The iPod (all models) has a higher market share than every other portable music device combined, its various models are lighter, smaller, and have more third party software and accessory suppport than any other player.

If those FACTS don't do it for you, I have plenty more.

Also, if you last encounter with a Mac was using the OS when it was still called "System #", then you have made a completely unfair and incorrect conclusion. Basing your opinion on an isolated incident is really quite foolish.

Apple hardware (and software) has consistently been rated and praised higherby most every technology expert and journalists than most any other computer company. When was the last time you heard Walt Mossberg gush over an eMachine or a Dell PC?

Fact: XP and all windoes softwares are for more aplicable in all feild bescause they are the bassis of the a majority of all PC opertaing software

Fact: Mac OS are so user friendly, its annoying, to anyone who has extensive experence in the PC feild.

Fact: older versions of Windows and Mac OS's are hardly compareable, as, for their time, Windows outcalssed them in many ways.

Fact: People dont buy something that doesnt work, though microsoft is continually getting worse in worse in their programs, they clearly have the upper hand in the market.

Fact: people by the ipod because it is the cool thing to have, not because it specifically meets their needs. its the "i have it first" syndrome. its the same with the Xbox 360, the graphics on PS2 and Xbox are superb yet they have to make improvements because they know people will get the "i have it first" syndrome and go out and buy what ever the latest and gratest game system is, me, i still play my N64 more than my PS2. i also have a 1gig mp3 player the size of a cigaret lighter, it provedes more than enough music than i listen to in any work out and is very small.

Fact: computer upgrades with macs are near to impossible, aside from Dell all things Windows bassed can be imrpoved upon with any other hardware that can run off of that same OS, Harddrives, RAM, Motherboards, Cards... running mac is like running scussi hardware, it makes no sence if you want the top notch computer.

and your reference to Dell makes no sence as dell is there to sell you a computer, not sell you a ocmputer to fit your needs... Dells are you all around PC's... to get a truely good PC go to a place like Alien Warehouse and tell them what you plan on doing most with your computer...
