Sir-Lancelot 216 Posted March 5, 2011 Save your cash man, you will not notice any difference between cheap and expensive.Spend the money saved on something else.
jcarter1885 995 Posted March 5, 2011 There are no best cables, the thread your talking about it pertains to some RCA brands not being compatible with the Sundown amps. I think that issue has been fixed so nothing to worry about on that end. I use KnuKoncepts RCA's and some cheapos from Radio Shack with my Sundown amp with no problems.
liljestrand 244 Posted March 5, 2011 Monoprice.com is where I got mine and they work great
slim2fattycake 85 Posted March 5, 2011 Monoprice.com is where I got mine and they work greatThat or python RCAs. The jackets are really thick so it helps from getting nicked out cut in the contours and corners of the car. Cheaply priced as well. Don't waste your money on expensive RCA. Its a marketing tool.
ford302redneck 15 Posted March 5, 2011 I use Knu, because their prettttttty.No. Seriously.Plus they matches my speaker wire. But I have tried about a dozen different set of RCA's with minimal differences between them all.

95Honda 486 Posted March 5, 2011 (edited) The Dayton brand from Parts Express is cheap and better quality than pretty much everything ^^^. The only downside is that the connectors are a little larger than some of the car audio stuff, so install must be planned accordingly....25' Dayton RCAs Edited March 5, 2011 by 95Honda
emh9009 199 Posted March 5, 2011 X3 on monoprice. Or you could buy my KNU ones
mattd0344 2 Posted March 5, 2011 I have a pair of really expensive Streetwires RCA cables, Monoprice, and a pair scosche RCA's from walmart.. there isn't an audible difference between any of them.
dbsupra 69 Posted March 5, 2011 At my old shop we did some playing around with different cables. This was back when 4v preouts was fairly new. Some cables were better at shielding noise than others. The ends were better made and put together than the cheapy ones. Just playing around this didn't make any difference, but vibrations and bouncing around I've had some of the cheaper ones lose connection. As mentioned, thicker jackets do help protect them.As far as quality, we couldn't see (or hear) any difference. But, with runs over 25ft we did see a bit of signal loss. Not much mind you, we are talking uV. Hardly anything to get excited about. We tested probably 40 some odd different cables with all the same equipment. Ranging from the cheapy cable to stupid expensive high end monster and phoenix gold.
///M5 2,833 Posted March 5, 2011 The "best" cost more than your car, but don't make an audibke difference. Any reasonable shielded cable works. I also like the $ performance of the Dayton wires.

Ask a dumb question get a dumb answer. Best is not a real qualifier. My answers are directly proportional to the effort the OP puts into his question. Pretty shitty to ocme on a forum and not at least try to show you searched and thought about your question before asking. Actually its despicable
