break in question

Recommended Posts

Alright, I honestly don't believe in breaking in subs usually. I've never done it with anything I've owned and never had a problem. Well I just placed an order for a second sa12. I currently have one I used by itself for probably 6 months so its nice and loose. Plan is to pair it up with the new one...will I have any issues since 1 is nice and broke in and the other will be brand new? Will I need to loosen up the new one first or will it just happen on its own over time?

Just add it in and use it. It'll eventually "loosen up" a little bit.

Very few subs "need" a break in. Sundown is not one of them.

Really no need to "Break In" as the suspension will loosen up over time.

DD and AQ are really the only 2 companies that recommend "Break In" due to the multiple spider set up they use.
