Whats up from TC Sounds?

Recommended Posts

isn't testing the rl-s kinda like testing their new subs anyway?

The Eclipse linear motor driver will be using a considerably smaller coil.

Sweet.

I enjoyed my time with the RL-S 12 ;)...

I had a pair of modded MTX1501d's strapped on it... handled it like a champ. Boy does it move.

;)

You guys should team up with some amp company's. Need some good deals on quiet ht amps, with loads of power.

Who needs loads of power? :D That's what the speakers are for ;)

What we need is a pair of SET MOSFET monoblocks, something like Nelson Pass's Zen built on a commercial scale.

I think when Eclipse comes to market with their LMT woofer SS sales might pick up... Ask any smaller company how good it is to have a large company selling a similar product, the public trusts the larger companies name, and if both of them are using the same thing the smaller company will be trusted more...

yet, most eclipse dealers aren't even going to know what technology they are selling...you'll find the rare one with actual knowledge, but most will jsut be spouting of some bs...

but i still agree...if the dealers will use the term LMT, then it will indeed leak back to SS, as ppl will hopefully put 2 and 2 together...lol..

We're going to start overhauling our platform and renaming our drivers. I think LMT is going to be renamed to LMS (linear motor series) because Linear motor technology is trade marked already.

most ppl haven't heard of SoundSplinter, unless they are online..and if they have heard of ss, they they'll know about the rl-s. and they'll know it's the daddy of all LMS topology.

but i now have another question, since the eclipse subs are basiclly the rl-p with LMS, when, if ever, will the rl-p become LMS? what about the rl-i? can the LMS topology be applied to tcsounds and SS's entire lineup? and can LMS be done with a neo mag to save weight?
