Oh I am. I'm also looking to buy another amp instead of using the Kicker DX1000.1 that I have right now. I was almost thinking a Sundown Audio SAX-1200D. I'm debating if I want to give pretty much the exact 1250 it wants or give it less.

Both amps are good, just dependes on what you want. The ICON is rated at 1250 rms and in the proper enclosure you have nothing to worrry about.

Welcome to the forums, thanks for picking the Icon. For an automotive install, to properly do a Transmission line, it would be a massive enclosure. The suggested sealed and ported enclosures work very well for the Icon.

What do you recommend for a ported enclosure?

Also, how long does it take to build the Icon and get shipped out?

Recommended enclosures can be found at the home page. I would safely expect a TOTAL of a single month lead time from date of purchase to arrival.

I would recomend staying with the ported enclosure specs on the SSA site.
