what can an m2.d2 handle?

Recommended Posts

I might be getting a us amps, merlin m2.d2 for my fi Q, just wondering how low of an impedance it can handle. Seeing if i can get 2000+ watts out of it @ 14.4v.

If you mean the MD2D... I'd imagine you'd get 1800 pure watts from it @ 14.4... Thats my best guess. I think I get like 1550 out of mine @ 12.8

If i went with an M2.d2 it would be overkill for an Fi Q, but if i ran 2 Fi Q's at a .7 ohm load, i am wondering if the amp will put out 2kw @ 14.4v, or would i have to run one of them at 1.4 ohms to help the sub out a little.

yea... i would just say they are 1800w 14.4 1 ohm. if it does more, cool! :) anything less 1 ohm you kill the warranty.

but IMO unless you dont over-do the gains and keep a good voltage, there is no such thing as overkill :)
