Deadening is a total PITA. It takes hours of work. This is my attempt. Two layers of RAAMmat on the outer skin.

This is after a layer of Ensolite on the outer skin and a layer of RAAMmat on the inner skin.

Don't have one of it finished but I covered the openings and added another layer of mat and a layer of Ensolite.

A Huge, Huge difference in mid bass. Knocking on these doors is like knocking on concrete. :D

Start high and work your way back.

Start with 24dB slopes and ridiculous cross points and work your way in. It will take you hours to dial them in right, maybe days.

Thanks :)

did you notice that this thread started as a joke and has gotten very serious :slayer:

i do take your addvice and try to work it into my SPL Explorer...

iv noticed that when i turn down the subs i have a lot of LOSE plastic rattles :(

gonna need a lot of sound dampener

where is the Raamat ? can i get it local in Dallas Tx or do i have to order it ?

i used P&S cuss i allready had 1/2 a roll and it was better that nothing :)

i know Bandaid was a good discription...

BUT it does sound dramaticlly different than the coaxials without and dampanning
