looking for a new amp

Check the classified sections here or on the other boards, there will be plenty of quality amplifiers in good shape in your price bracket.

and I have also heard that db drive were pretty good budget amps. Does anyone know anything about their speed series 1000.1?

Have you considered a sundown sae1000d or looking for a used amp such as a memphis 1kw or something of that nature.

something that will last, take abuse, and sound damn good.

stay far away from hifonics, soundstream... and some of those US AMPS have shady backgounds, the new ones arent any better that the rest of the mainstream.
