Hi,

I am selling my 4 channels Boston amp. I can make a good deal with it, and I don't use rear speakers no more !

I need a small (in size) 2 ch amp to power my Focal 165 KP.

I need about 2 * 100 watts rms or even less, and my head unit is good enough, so I don't need lots of features on the amp.

The problem is the budget : I want a really cheap amp! But I want a brand new one.

The Sundown 125.2 would be good, and would match the sub amp (a saz1000), but I would like it cheaper.

I saw a Cadence Xa 175.2 xenith series at Powermax electronics, it looks good !

There is an entry level Rockford the R 300-4 (I could bridge it) that seems good too.(Powermax electronics)

One point is really important as I live in the Caribbeans, I want something reliable, and that don't suffer from high temperatures !

What do you think?

What would you do ?

Cheap, good, and new. Hmm. Pick 2.

Take the Cadence? Why not?

I've never used Cadence, but I can try.

It's a pitty I can't buy it on the ssa shop !

But they look serious at Powermax.

You haven't picked your two yet. There is no way around this compromise.

The Cadence is no more available.

I have to look for another one !

I will have to take the Sundown. I should have bought it during the sales, I just took the saz 1000.

I couln not buy both! What a pitty!!!

Maybe I will save some more money!

What other choices can you give me M5 , or others?

get a 50.4 and bridge it

It is the same price. Why would I do that?

I don't understand the advantage of doing so.

I will take the Sundown 125.2 as soon as I get the money. It may be very soon, I hope so !!!

For the first time in my car audio life, I will have 2 amps with the same brand, same look!

great price!

Thanks

I did not see it!

I've just ask Sundown, on their forum, what they think about it for my front speakers.

I wanted to know if this offer is still available.

Just bridge your Boston amp to the front. My 4ch is bridged and I have 225w going to 125w rated comps and they love it.

I can sell my Boston at a very very good price (I need some cash).

And my comps can only handle 80 watts rms. So 225 gives me too much headroom!!!

Too much headroom is an oxymoron.

Again if you want other options you need to pick 2. No way around "Sean's Iron Law" on that one.

Finally I decided to take the Sundown sax 50.4 : I will bridge it to 2 channels (2 x 160 watts rms, that's headroom!!!).

I am waiting for the UPS tracking number.

I should get the amp by the end of next week.adhd.gif
