2 12in DC Audio LVL4XLs, 2 stetsom 7ks, 1 2008 Pontiac G6

I have one XL in, the other one should be here in a couple days. Waiting more paypal to clear then my stetsom 7k's will be on there way. I will be wiring one stetsom too 1.4 ohms for daily use and will be wiring each stetsom too .7 ohms for burbs at shows. I need to get one of the stetsoms repaired will cost $300 too get it fixed.

Nice setup... curious as to how your XLs love that power.

I know the A-Team burped a single XL off 8kw in Free-Air without any problems... and that's 8kw clamped, not rated.

I just run the normal Level 4s.. Rusty tells me about how better the XLs are.. him and others have talked me into gettin a few, just gotta tear my wall down first to accommodate.

I have heard from some people that they will get stinky of about 3500 watts each daily but then i have seen some take 3.5k like a champ so we will see how they work out, need to recone one of the subs, but am still waiting for the motor too get here. And the amps should be shipped tomorrow or the next day.

Yeah i think the xls should be able to take 7k watts burbs. Will only be putting it too the xls for 5 secs at a time. I have heard the xls are a lot louder than then the lvl 4s so we will see.

No i didnt. We really didnt have enough air space too go any bigger tho. I figure it will help the air flow out a little bit more than it would with out any thing there, probably not a lot but anything helps

I thought those 45s were pretty small as well. How much volume are you really saving by doing that?

Other than that, awesome job on the enclosure so far and nice choice of equipment.

I've noticed a lot more people using the level 4xls with level 5 coils, instead of the level 5s. Just curious but is there any reasoning to this?

The box is already below the minimum requirements it is 3 cubes and i really couldnt go under than. there is 2 big 45s in each of the back courners, the little ones werent for bracing they were just too help the air flow a little bit better

The xls are louder spl wise than the lvl 5s until you get around 6000 watts to each sub then the lvl 5s are louder. i was planning on running a saz-2000 to each sub but i got a great deal on the stetsoms so i sold my 2000s and bought the stetsoms

Not quite sure where that is haha. I am on the south side of 45 on 1960 two stop lights down, on cypress station dr. I will let you know when it is finished so you can get a demo. I am hoping to have it bumpin by next friday.
