Copper smoother sounding. Aluminum more power handling.

ICONs are currently unavailable for a while. We are redesigning them from the ground up at the moment.

We'll let everyone know when they are ready!

Seems like all the good sounding afordable 1k sub options arent available right now. Been waiting on the Sundown X12, but its going to be a while, so figured Id grab an Icon. Now thats out of the picture, whats left?

You could look into Mach 5 Audio. You could find a used IXL 12 or if you can get ahold of a dealer an Underground 12 could work.

Fi SSD is one of the best 1000 watt steals period. Yes, it is rated at 1000 rms now.

As for the Icon, with the cooling upgrades that are coming, power handling will go up a bit, and I think we are considering dropping the optional Aluminum coil.

Why not list the Q, especially since he mentioned SQ?

I like Aaron's suggestion on the SSD's as well.

I like Aaron's suggestion on the SSD's as well.

His interpretation of SQ and yours or mine maybe a lot differentt so therefore did not mention it.

The SSD is a great choice as well. Wasn't sure they were available yet.

The Flatlyne is worth mentioning as well if he's looking for SQ. Never mentioned an exact budget, but it is a little more expensive than the SSD and Icon.

Really trying to stick to $200-250 or less, or at least close to it. The RE SRx I have sounds great, just want something a bit louder without sacraficing much of the SQ.

I have a 2.25cu ported box, at 31-32Hz with the 1.4cu displacement of the SRx. Box has an 11.15in sub cutout. Amp is an MB Quart Onyx 1500.

I for one will be upgrading from the Icon's I have now to possibly the new series when they come out.

Wanting to run four 15's instead of only two.

I hope they still maintain the same integrity as the series I have now as far as awesome sound quality.

More power handling will be super nice too.

Mine are rated 1000rms and are handling the same power as a Xcon!! :morepower1:

If you don't wait for the Icon the SSD would be my choice given your budget
