The tweeters turned out to be super ez...I was able to remove the old ones and just push in the new MBQuart Tweeters(.75")into the Tweeter cover...

Here's what it looks like pushed in from the back of Tweeter Cover...

The Doors were a bit trickier...I had to dremel out the speaker inner door skin surround...here's a shot before we removed it...!

CIMG0130.jpg

Dremeling out the inner surround...

CIMG0123.jpg

With the inner surround nearly done...

CIMG0122.jpg

Here's a shot before the outer speaker adapters were modified sitting on the MBQuart speakers...

CIMG0119.jpg

I originally mounted the Quarts in the 1" speaker adapters-it hit the door panel. So we ended up cutting them down to 3/4". We used a table saw to do so...

CIMG0125.jpg

More shots modifying the Metra Speaker Adapters. The Quart baskets are so wide it hits the door. They only have 5 1/4" speaker openings. They will not fit. So we had to add a spacer(we use the dremel to smooth out any ruff edges)...

CIMG0127.jpg

CIMG0117.jpg

CIMG0128.jpg

The doors turned out to be a lot of work. Here is what the door looked like after the speaker and tweeter was installed. I used high density foam in between the door and the Metra Adapters to fill any gaps. The speakers fit in really, really tight and secure. Take a look!

CIMG0121.jpg

That's it for now guys...

Only because I already owned the Quarts and they are separates. The JBL look like great speakers...so that is why...

I think you are going to like those Quarts.

When you are done you should have a really nice sounding setup!

Yes it will be...only challenge I have at the moment is the spare tire is missing. I am trying to locate one today so I can finish the amp rack. Without it can't judge the proper size...Hope I find one...I'm so close to finishing the install..!

The Amp Rack...

CIMG0148.jpg

First we take a piece of matte board to draw a template so we can create a shape that fits into the Frunk(Front Trunk):

CIMG0152.jpg

We slowly cut the matte board till we get the right fit:
