Set your gains with the sub level all the way up and leave the bass boost off. Listen to it man, it cant sound good with a clipped signal. If you want it louder you may need bigger woofer/amp, but feeding it a clipped signal and adding bass boost is not the solution.

First off, it would be wise to do the big 3 in 1/0 wire. Then install a voltmeter. Try it from there and see what kind of voltage dips you get to know how much farther to go when you install the 1500D.

BTL will be louder than the BL and the xcon. Though i believe since ive owned both the xcon is louder than the BL even in an enclosure built for the BL and not the xcon. Thats matter of oppinion since i never got the chance to meter just one BL or xcon. The xcon does make up for it in the sq field for sure and its probably the best sounding driver ive herd.

2008 Saturn Vue. It's the family vehicle, so I can't take up the whole back. I did 1 ported 10" DCON on 500 watts and it was very impressive. Check out my build log and review under the SSA section.

Been catching up a bit then I'll post em.

Two Dcons in a sealed enclosure might do you fine.

I THINK I GOT AROUND 3.54CU/FT YOU THINK THAT A BIGGER BOX WILL DO BETTER JOB OR MORE DB'S 1) Stop yelling or die. 2) A larger enclosure increases efficiency, making more pressure with less power input. You also take the risk of mechanical failure. question, if larger = less power require does MORE power = less cubics? sorry if that is a dumb question if it is i WILL DIE lol Generally with less air volume it will take more power input to achieve the same volume.

Yeah usually you want to build your enclosure smaller if your throwing tons of power at it.

That is the measure without the port, subs or bracing displacement if any. Then when you find the volume of your port you subtract it from that number and that will give you the box volume.

    If 24.5" x 19.75" x 18" are your outside dimensions, then your volume before displacement (sub, bracing and port area) is 4.00803ft^3. 23 x 18.25 x 16.5 = 6925.875in^3/1728 = 4.00803 ft^3

Email don. Absolutely. When I think of unrivaled customer service I typically think of Mark and Aaron with SSA and Jacob with Sundown. I'll now add Don to this list and refer ALL business his way. He went above and beyond what I had expected of him.

that pro box is probably tuned to high for ur sub...that would mean ur playing it too high for the sub to function properly and then ur probably clipping it trying to make it louder.

Yes the W7 is a very nice driver, I do love it. But my ear wants more pound and after reading and seeing good reveiws about how the Fi performs then its looking more and more better. I'm satisfied with how clear everything is with the W7 but my ears looking for more. And remember I want to run it with my JL 1000/1. Maybe later go with more a more output amp. I got vids on youtube of my system with different cameras. My Sony cam doesnt pick up the bass good. Look under raolito1980.

Tell him to port it himself, why cant he port it? They will sound terrible in that box ported and then he probably wont want them, I would just try and talk some sense in to him first and tell him you cant always get what you want. But if you insist on porting there are few sites that will help you and have calculators to help with porting an enclosure, search around this forum and online.

Yea well, this is a open forum, I will say what ive seen. If you've got a problem with the guy for whatever reason thats your problem, sort it out with him. You shouldnt cry about it in ppl posting what they have seen and experience.
