fresh oil + oil filter in the E55, extremely easy and straightforward....

Is that a top mount filter like the BM'ers use? I love those.

yup, top mount filter...definitely different from the domestics that I'm used to, but still easy as cake

mmmmm, cake.....

I'd get a quote from Mercedes and force them to pay you, then I'd buy a complete set of something else with the money.

barring that, does that look like a good deal though?

No. Not sure what it should be, but that seems steep.

Found one place that sells for 250, another for 270, a little better, at least....

<---hasn't ever bought a wheel bigger than 15"

Cylinder #7 only has newer OEM plugs (Bosch F8DPER with Mercedes logo as opposed to the other 14 NGK R1's with Mercedes logo), previous owner must have gotten a similar error code I did and had the dealership replace the plugs...if spark plugs could talk

I'm getting tired of all the how much power I can put to my sub questions. The manufacture already tells you that, if you want to put more then you should have the knowledge to know when enough is enough.

/mini rant.

so far this weekend:

oil change

new plugs and wires

topped off windshield wiper/headlight fluid (yes I have a tank of fluid that washes the headlights  )

tomorrow:

thorough cleaning outside

thorough cleaning/detailing inside

bottle of fuel injector cleaner (may or may not work, $5 every third of fourth oil change its cheap enough) + filling the tank with Top Tier 93 octane

then one final push next week and then...who knows what...

RIP Steve McNair

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair, whose most noted drive was the final one of the 2000 Super Bowl, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head Saturday afternoon in a downtown condominium. Police said a woman was also shot dead.

McNair was 36 and played 13 seasons before retiring in April 2008. Police spokesman Don Aaron said officials tentatively identified the woman, but did not release her name. He confirmed she wasn't McNair's wife, Mechelle.

wtf?
