Recommended Posts

Im Looking At Upgrading My Electrical System Since It Will Be The Last Step Towars My New System.

Electrical System will be supposrting an SAZ-3000D and a SAE-100.4.

the alternator will be a HO once i buy one, Around 140-260 Amps

i dont really know much about electrical systems and AH and all that

i just want something that will suppost my system

as well as my alternator could supply

what i was wondering is would it be better to buy

A.) 2 12V Tractor Batteries (Parallel) - $130 A Piece

B.) 2 12V Kinetik HC 2000 Batteries (parallel) - $165 A Piece

C.) 1 12V Kinetik HC 3800 Battery - $425

I dont know anything about tractor batteries but it if it was me, I would go with the Kinetics. The 2000s are only $35 more each. Sounds like a good deal.

Well, as we don't know the ah on the tractor batteries, I would say that the 2 kinetik hc 2000 are your best bet.... or a 2000 up front and the hc2400 kinetik in the back...

Well, that sounds great but you don't know what kind of load the tractor batteries can take and return from. I would go with B.. Also If i'm wrong someone put there two cents in. But I think to make sure your volts stay very stable you would need 100 ah of batteries per 1000 rms power of wattage in your system. Just to be safe I'm saying..

Deka Intimidator anyone?

Bingo ;)

They will work, you'll need more of them to get the same amount of power though.

im guessing ill need around 400 AH just to be on the safe side correct?

Since itll be supporting the SAZ 3000D and SAE 1.4

supposing 100 AH for every 1000 Watts

I have two 9a31 Intimidators to support my 3Kd and 100.4.

I dont think you will need 4 of them, that AH is kinda like a myth. I would start off with one to two of them and go from there, it is hard to say at first it depends on your listening habits and such. The best bet is to buy two and see how your voltage holds up and if your dropping and another battery, make sure you get a voltmeter. Just my .02

Jay-cee is right. aH is normally useless in a car audio scenario unless you listen to your stereo with the car off a lot.

I was gonna post that IIRC you had two on the same amps he is using without a HO Alternator but didnt want to put you out there or say some false info.

Right right. the most id listen to my system with the car off would be like 10 min.

so im better off leaning towards the 2 HC 2000's for the rear

what would you recomend for the front?

ive read your suppose to get a battery with less AH than the back battery bank?

If your gonna run 2 HC2000 batteries then place one up front and one in the rear and call it a day, or upgrade your starting battery to the size that fits in the stock location with the HC2000's in the rear if you want to be safe and have overkill on batteries which isnt a bad thing.

Also not to steer you away from Kinetik talk to Nick at Xs Power Batteries, he will probably have you walking out the door with 2 batteries at the least that will start your car and power your system. Just a FYI and second option.

Check out the chart:

only thing that is a killer is shipping :peepwall:

This is the best price Ive been able to find online. It is for Dekas but arent we still talking about budget batteries? deka 9a31 Does anyone know of a cheaper online source?

Sorry for the thread jacking. :)

thats including shipping bigrank, shipping is typically 20-30+ dollars on those batteries so look at it as 180 dollars + shipping each battery
