1200sae vs 1000saz

is there any significant output differences between these amps. I would like the 1500 but its out my price range rite now. Besides the sae being unstrappable are there any advantages to using the saz. Still considering the sub at moment.

the saz is stable at higher voltages like 16v or 18v systems. u probably dont have that, so i would go with the 1200d. also, jacob has said himself that the sae1200d could be classified as a 1500 watt amp.

SAE are built to Jacob's spec in China, 12-14v

SAZ are built in Korea to Jacob's spec, 12-18v

If you won't want to strap 2 in the future, go with the SAE1200v2. Looks way beefier than the SAZ1000D. Just my 2c.

The saz-1000d is NOT stable above 15v like the rest of the saz amps are. The sae-1200d makes more power. The saz-1000d has a lot smaller.

i think the saz's can take a lower impedance. I believe they used to be warranted down to .5 ohms, but they changed that about a year ago to 1 ohm i believe. But they were doing fine with the low impedances

If your never gonna strap amps or go lower than 1 ohm then get the SAE-1200D for a little more head room. It is a toss up and you wont loose with either choice, so flip a coin if it is that hard to decide.

Those tests are NOT measurements of power. As Jacob even cited they are just UNIFORM tests between them giving a rough idea of how they rank.

1000w, 1200w, not an audible difference. IMO running beyond what is rated is dangerous unless you really know what you are doing. Either will be fine for your application.
