4Runner rebuild....Cant let it all go,

Recommended Posts

Well i havent created a build log in a long time on here. I recently decided to pull out ALL of my high end stereo equipment to make room for my new baby girl thats on the way. I settled for (1) Kicker Comp 12" on a no brand name Amp that i dug out of the trash and fixed................ I cant take it ANYMORE!!!!! :angry2: I gotta have something that will do a little damaged when i need it to soooooo say tuned. Today i will be attempting to build a new box for one of my SSD 15's tuned somewhere around 28-35 Hz....havent decided yet........but i may need some design help!!!!!!!

STAY TUNED.

(1) Fi SSD 15" D1 loaded

(1) Kicker ZX2500.1

(1)Kinetic KHC1800 Battery under the hood

(1) 160 Amp alternator

My dad owns a 4Runner. Awesome vehicle to drive. Waiting for pictures of the progress :)

For design help, I think there are some ready made on SSA's page.

Each door has 2 pods fiberglassed in at the bottom holding a pair of Pioneer 4-way 6 1/2's on axis. Also have a pair of Pioneer tweeters running of just deck power. So basically 8 6.5 4-ways on about 400watts. Everything comes in loud and clear.....

Well, WE would LOVE to see pictures of the doors, and front set-up also.

I have Pioneers in my truck and a Pioneer HU, I have always been happy with them.

SWEET!!! I bet it is loud and clear, the doors look good. the DVD screens are easy to envy also.

I am on the verge of wraping the whole bottom half of my doors too and leaving the top alone, I like that look.

How did you get the fiberglass to bond to the plastic?

Good job on everything Brother.trink40.gif

Thanks man. I got it to bond pretty well just by roughing the plastic up really good. Then i wrapped it really tight with fleece and shot staples throught the back side to hold it in place. Glassed it and never had a problem out of it again.
