Loudest in 4 cubes?

Recommended Posts

Car is a 2006 nissan altima se-r

It's a setup for my neighbor so nothing used(sorry guys)

Electrical is already taken care of... i've done the big 3 and ordered 2 batts.

He has absolutely no care in the world for sq and just wants an insanely loud setup.

budget for sub(s) & amp are 1500 and there's 4 cubes net to work with.

18 will fit?

I think it's a 100amp.

I'm personally running close to 4k on a 120 amp alt and i get no dimming so were not too worried about the alt right now

If we get voltage drops, it'll be upgraded.

1500.

when u say 4 cubes NET to work with, i'm assuming u already know how the port will be installed.

2 AQ HDC3 12s off of 2 Audiopipe AP 30001Ds (6,000w)

Make sure u get the Aluminum coiled versions = ~$1350

If built right, u can get loud with it.

I was able to do 148s with 4,500w off of 2 of those 12s in a hatch tuned daily.

I don't know how the port will be installed :peepwall: ..so 4 cubes gross

Can the hdc3's be tuned low?

he liked the low end of the xcons and wants something similar just alot louder

Im going to go outside the box and say this weird combo but it would be so loud and clean at the same time!!

Run a D3000/1 - Precision Power PPI "One of a kind type amps STRAIGHT beasty"

2512a DD subwoofer(12) run two of those!! and you will have one of a kind loud clean hitting system at the same time.

DD=loud!!!

tuning below 35hz isn't recommended for AQ subs.

I tuned to 38hz and could audibly drop to 32hz before it would start to roll off.

Anything below 35hz tuning, the upper 40hz range would suffer.

They are capable of dropping LOW while retaining higher tuning. That's why they recommend tuning in the mid to upper 30s.

since u only have 4 cubes gross, 2 12s is a no go.

I recommend this then-

a single DC Level 5 12" off of at least 5kw.

I hope he knows what he's doin with the volume control.

People like thorshammer has ran these babies with over 10kw on tap daily per level 5 but it has to be clean power.

They will get ungodly loud with crazy power but can smoke up quick if left with a dirty signal.... any sub will.

what are the level 5's rated at? he's a newb so i know he'll probably blow it.

They can take a easy 2000rms.

I'd say they could take 4-5k.

My MT's can.

If he wants stupid loud AND low, then he has to find more airspace. Simple as that.

You've got that right Drew. Hoffman's Iron Law.

Remember though, increasing enclosure size DECREASES mechanical power handing.

so loud and low is almost impossible in such little space?

Pretty much yeah, but I'm sure a single 12" on like 3-4k would get plenty low enough and loud enough for him.

Thats not what the q's are designed for. The BL's would be much better suited to get louder.

If it helps any, my MT 12 is in 2.5 cubes, and it gets down and its fairly loud off the low power I have on it.

I know that the q's aren't meant for that but i'm pretty sure 3 would get loud, correct? and i do know that the q's are low end monsters

i disagree ... but i would recommend a single 2 DC level level 5 15" just my 2 cents..
