There might be a future issue with the speakers clearence. You should take into mind the thickness of the fleece and fibers glass because it looks like it's a little too close.

Actually that is the floor mat that looks so close. It actually clears the door frame with ease with a little room to spare. :drink40:

I see.

The wiring is lookin' clean, always fun once you get that much under the carpet. Thats some crazy looking speaker wire. Keep on truckin'!!:D

AND Hopefully the family will allow you to finish the pods sooner than later..... I know the feeling.

Back to work tomorrow but when I get home I plan on doing the second door. 90+ degree heat makes the curing process go much faster .... :peepwall:

Have an idea of doing the kicks and pods in a gloss white to match the exterior of the truck.

Any thoughts on that idea?

You could paint eveything white and then clear coat it, that would look clean.

This time around on my doors, I plan on first painting with a matching interior colored base coat, and then I am going to airbrush some artwork on the doors and clear coat them.

Ideas for your doors or mine?

I got an airbrush kit traded to me this year from a friend. I have never airbrushed before, but will be giving it a try. I have been a Custom Tattoo Artist for 17+ yrs so I should be good, just a different medium of art.

I am planning on painting a city skyline along the bottom of the door and music notes flowing out of the speaker. I will do some ghost skulls or something in powder grey behind everything and then clear coat with Acyrlic or Lauquer. Should look EXTRA sweet!! or thats the idea anyways.:captain:

My doors!

Going to be adding a flush ring to the doors so it looks flush with the grill attached.

Nothing to out of the ordinary going to have him do something evil with the Sundown Logo along the map pocket area.

Will see how my finish sanding is and whether the patience holds out for that nice shiny finish!

Finally got around to building the box for my new Sundown SA-15's

Box assembled and ready for black paint (Herculiner Box Liner)

First coat of black

Completed box just needs some touch up

2011-03-16_20-20-56_357.jpg

I didn't take very many pictures during cutting and assembly as they are pretty straight forward. I tweaked the original design a bit to give it the full recessed look.

This box will house two Sundown SA-15" D4 subwoofers.

Thanks to Bromo for the design Eclectic Enclosure Design
