Curious as to what they were doing with the JL amp?

Kicking it's ass.. ha ha.. JK! We teat every amp released to make sure we win a head to head. This has been standard practice that goes all the way back to the days when car audio companies actually did head to head comparisons in magazines. Unfortunately magazines would sometimes rate the company that did the most amount of advertising with them the highest and I even had one mag offer me a #1 rating over the competition for double page ads for 12 months in their buyers guide :(

We still test and engineer to beat the competition. We don't get enough credit for all the work we do and the fact that we are and always have been a engineering company first and just lost the marketing battle.

Mark, is this you or somebody using your login?

I am a fan of the head to head testing.

John had accendently logged in with my username and posted that.

Looks like fun. I think I now have YET ANOTHER reason to come to Pheonix for a week or two.

BTW Will MTX ever be publicly traded much like DEI, or Rockford Fosgate?

I would say NO. They are family owned. :drink40:

Glad to hear. I only ask because I kinda like being a small owner of a company.

my 1501d amp says made in china, what ones are made in USA? good amp though, i really like it, but its twice as long compared to the Kicker IX with same output. Bring back some endcaps for crying out loud, i miss steal installs, no one uses end caps no more.

Family owned is the best way IMO.

Sweet. Always good to tour a factory. I have a old MTX thunder 2300, unfortunately it was gave to me broke. Burn resistors and broke FET, from what I can see. Wish I could get it fix but I'm not sure its worth the trouble.
