I just wanted to post up and say I love my SSD's but they are killing my trunk lol. I DONT understand how you guys are getting BL's and BTL's haha

Here is a pic as of now. My installer is going to finish up this weekend hopefully with carpet, a complete false wall, sound deadening, and something he wont tell me for the false floor

Here is an idea of the horrible trunk rattles hah. Sounds like sh!t right now Embarrassing!

Volume is about half way up, bass boost is up 1/4th on the knob. This is before sound deadening.

You didn't read the big sticker on the outside of the packaging material...it specifically says

Do not use bass boost

...and you might not want to do that sitting in your driveway. You'll probably piss the neighbors off

I have only had it up 1/4th but I will turn it off

My neighbors were cool with it, I went by and talked to the 3 homes that were actually home. People work at the time I was testing ;D

And if u turn you're box around and seal it off you will lose all the trunk rattle and maybe even gain Db's.

The bigger issue is the rear deck, it sounds horrible inside haha I hope all the sound deadening I ordered will fix this or I might have a stereo up for sale lol

You're talking about "bass boost" knob, or about the gain knob.

The remote you receive with this amp is a gain knob, not for bass boost.

Don't touch the real bass boost knob on the amp, set it to 0.

Dont even know if deadener can help that. Thats pretty nasty.

You could add some MDF and closed cell foam to the rear deck, that may help you there, but that trunk needs more metal or something. lol

lt made it worse because then I could hear the back deck and the trunk lid instead of just the back deck haha

bassboost will cause clipping bud.....dont use it

also i love my bl's.....i dont have to turn them up at all to hit 140 db.

0 bassboost on HU and amp....50% gain and sub level on HU at 0....

i love bl lol

ps lol when installing my fi bl's i had cops come to my house over a noisie complaint

told this this way my job and i do it all day...they left..i learned there is no db. limit in my city until 11 pm lol
