Every subwoofer has a difference from another, thats why so many are made. Depends on goals and other information you want to share with us.

From past experience using both series of drivers .... I thought the SSD was an overall better driver. Just my .02.

But if it is not what he wants or needs, then the SSD is one of the best sub woofer values on the market.

What are your goals for the system?

to be loud under 400 dollars and fit in a 95 accord and 1700 rms or lower. 2 ssd's are $415 shipped 800rms each

Get a BTL. Then you'll have headroom for upgrading your amp.

The N2's are cheap for what they do..

Yes the Xcons are badass, but that is why SSA has guidelines so the buyer can get something that works best for their application/budget.
