My childhood without television and video games would have been very dull, but to each his own.

or maybe not, hard for you to say since you had the fallback

My childhood without television and video games would have been very dull, but to each his own.

I grew up playing with my friends outside and playing sports games.

Or we were trying to hunt with are BB-guns.

Playing in corn fields and the woods.

I spent a couple hours today chipmunk hunting at my parent's house with the BB gun.

Ah, the goid 'ole days!

It's always been a boring ass town so games and TV were about as exciting as it got; was a lot more fun during the summer months since we almost always went up to my grandparent's house out in the country.

Was a three sport athlete up until high school so there wasn't much idle time to begin with.

Video games definitely helped me. But I didn't have a dad and my mom couldn't figure me out.

It has been known that mouthy kids would get hung by their feet in the barn and have horse shit thrown at them.

You know me, I never did anything like that. ;)

What town isn't boring if you aren't of an age to "go out"?

Still boring even as a teenager. Unless you're looking for repressed religious girls at the church sponsored places, it's a 45 minute drive to go to the movies, mall, or any other kind of social hangout. There's only two places to drink that doesn't require me taking at least a knife.

Grandma became the main breadwinner back in the late 70's when she got promoted to VP at her bank but before that cotton and cattle.

Both sides of my family have been historically blue collar workers, farmers, white trash, and the like. Dad struggled for months after getting out of the Navy before he got the job offer of a lifetime down here. Even with our white collar income my sisters and I were brought up with the same blue collar mindset.
