Sit in an E34 and then an E39 and you won't want the 34 anymore.  That is the only problem.

If you didn't need to drive winters, and E28 M5 would be the bomb

I am on bored with that. I'm still too much of a hooligan and not rich enough to feel awesome in a vintage sports car.

With the obvious caveat of a cranked out muscle car.

Full size sport sedan like the S or 7 is beginning to look ok, but again. I did like the looks I got when I test drove that big S class with a V8. This old well off couple in a Lexus saw me and the wife in it and he gave me the most approving of nods and smiled while we roasted the rears from a red light.

Cool old dude.

I'm not sure when the styling of a car started to matter to me, but it does now.

Reading about the poor job market for organic chemists with MS/PhDs is depressing--even with big pharma.

Changed my display name in an attempt to reduce my internet presence. I should have never used my real name anywhere to begin with.

Just recently moved to California, I was driving around and stopped at this small Car dealership and I fell in love with a 77 Porsche 911. Paint was okay (As it can be, being next to the ocean), nice rims and low-ish miles.. I asked the guy how much he wanted for it.. 15k.. And i'm like nope and walked off, lol.

I have been using my real name (sandt38) since the start of the intrawebz.

With all the petroleum plants in the US no one is needed chemists that specialize in carbons and hydrocarbons?

That's probably the one field where the market is decent. Probably be a good fall back if medical research or pharma doesn't pan out.

Seth, and anyone else, the W is getting a new vehicle too. Winter savy, not ugly, lower miles, cheeper on gas and cheep to fix.

Escape comes to mind. Would like to be at 10k or so.
