A Ferrari 599 owner in Australia drifted into oncoming traffic and hit two motorcyclists head-on in October. One rider was in a coma for two weeks and suffered a broken back and hip. The Ferrari owner? Back on the road.

Carlo Vaccari, 64, was found guilty of reckless driving in an Australian court and ordered to pay $6,000 to two road charities, but kept his license. Andrew Hosemans, the injured motorcyclist, says Vaccari has never expressed any regret over the accident, despite Hosemans' life-threatening injuries.

"He never admitted fault, never said sorry," Hosemans told the Geelong Advertiser. "I actually felt a bit disappointed for him, just not being able to own up to the fact you've been a fool."

I'm sorry dutchie. I was being sarcastic and an A hole. Internet and inflection sometimes gets lost. I know cosworth. It just looks so much like the jetta from fast and furry or every other euro-whore golf ever.

Too bad VW never made such a high performance machine in that era. They had the VR6, it was cool BUT it was FWD...

Finally installed the oil cooler :woot:

IMG_8004r.jpg

Only took a small 5mi drive to warm up things and check for leaks but the oil didn't get over 140F

You got the car from out of state didn't you? Colorado requires a VIN inspection before the will give up the plates.

Should add alitte extra oil capacity too. looks good, are you putting a bumper back on?

I put 1/2 quart extra so far. Checking the level tomorrow.

Bumper definitely goes on, I just had to cut a notch to fit the top hose and need to spray some paint over the notch. It will also get some kind of vent for extra air flow.

Next project...making room for an air-water intercooler core.

I shagged cars for an Audi/VW dealership in the mid 90s. We would pick them up with 15 miles or so on the odometers. Then proceed to break them in driving 200 miles over Vail and Loveland passes at mach 1. The Jetta's where fun to drive, as where the Audi Quattro's.

started a thread on a new front stage, if you guys have some advice feel free to comment, m5 has it pretty much taken care of already. linky link

You are in over a lot of peoples heads on this board...but in a good way :) As with any setup that is really custom buying a single driver and listening isn't a terrible idea. Just make sure to enclose it properly.

The 4" maybe small enough to run sealed instead of IB/AP. Normally I don't recommend that in a car, but considering the frequency range it isn't a bad idea like usual.

i think i will start off sealed before i cut the carpet up...not that im afraid to cut up a car with over 180,000 miles on it.

ill start another build log when i begin the install.

Good luck peng.

I have lost INCHES in the past 4 days after my CT scan. I'm starting to feel almost alive again. I hope it works out even better for you as you're working out.

The U of M really ticked me off as they gave me barium contrast to drink, and though they told me to drink extra water the day before, they didn't tell me they were giving me an IV of iodine.

I would have woke up at 3 am and pounded a gallon of water/gatoraide so my veins weren't burried. Vlad the impaler had to root around in there as I wasn't 100% hydrated and my veins roll.

I know they are shitty, but cell phone for now more better later when I am not driving illegally with a photocopied temporary tag. Where I like to go gets patrolled hourly.

MN no longer inspects. They found out everyone passed and did away with it.
