18" subaru outback build

Recommended Posts

so this is my first build log so don't flame me if i am doing it wrong, ok so here it goes

so i got my first 18", an Fi audio q on Monday and the thing is a beast! here are some pics

amazing packaging from Fi if haven't seen it already

th_swfiqpics004.jpg?t=1278802196

th_swfiqpics016.jpg?t=1278802196

the box i am building for this sub is a 7.5 cube sealed box and if anyone is wondering what the dimensions are it will be 35.5wx22dx22h

the box will have a 2 layer 3/4 MDF baffle as you will see in the pics. and i got the box cut at southern lumber in san jose ca. it cost $10 to have them cut the whole box. much better than freehanding it with a saws all.

anyway here are the pics

th_swfiqpics025.jpg?t=1278802196

test fitting all the pieces

th_swfiqpics021.jpg?t=1278802196

Also, dose anyone know any good 6.5 components? I found these crecendo audio ones for 99 bucks but I am a little sceptical about them because normaly carbon mids ate not thAt cheap. Are they any good or are they not worth it?

I always liked carpet.

Paint can be so shiny !

I hope you planned some window tint ? Be careful:peepwall:

I have a pair of Crescendo CCX65 Components and I love them, worth the price and everything. Nice midbass and great overall sound. They dont have nothing on the Hertz MLK's I want but for now they will do, thinking about buying another pair for now as well.

They are the talk of the town on FloridaSPL.com and have great reviews over there as well. Hope this helps.
