Wife's 98 Ram Blow Through

Recommended Posts

My wifes truck is a 98 Dogde Ram Sport, 3"lift 33" tires.

Current system:

Alpine 9885

RF power 6.5 coax (only off deck)

RF P2 12 in 1ft^3 sealed center console

Eclipse xa 1000 (sub amp)

The plan:

Alpine 9885

RF power 6.5

PG Tantrum 400.4

Mach 5 audio Mj 18 M 4dvc

6 ft^3 tuned to 32-35 hz (Hvae heard blowthoughs lower tuning?)

PG Tantrum 1200.1

She listens to mostly R&B and Rap so I think this should make her happy for the time being.

I'll upload pics as I can

Weather and work will determine how quickly this gets done.

as always I am open to any suggestions or comments.

Thanks

Chad

I'm looking for Idea's for enclosure.

Mark for Mach 5 suggests 5.5-6 ft^3

off the top of my head I have 20" high x 24" deep x 49" wide thats staying between the wheel wells.

I'm going out now to measure.

Thanks Shogen,

and she said no people just curbs and imports....... haha

Curbs and imports haha.

Looks fun.

I don't see why a blow through would lower tuning :ughdunno:

Made some templets where the front of the enclosure will meet the front of the box. The top rail of the box tips in about 2". I will probly work on the enclosure this weekend. Anyone have any better idea's for the enclosure? Opinions?

Nice wife, with an agressive truck.

How does she feel driving such a monster ?!!

You'd better ask Bromo or jbl Camry for the design.

I have been thinking about how big I am going to make the hole in the box and cab.

The enclosure is going to be 36" wide by 20" tall. I can only cut about 15"tall in the front of the box and still maintain structural integritty. so I am thinking I will make the cut 36"x15" However I am open to suggestions.

thanks

I have to wait for some wood, Hopefully this week.

Drawing out on scrap wood.

Thats all for now.

Question?

If I cut the hole 15" x 26" will this opening be large enough?

Thanks

After some thought I think I am changing the enclosure design. I think I am going to face the sub and port towards the passenger side fired into a chamber and into the cab of the truck through a 15"x16" through port. Enclosure will still be 6.0ft^3 and tuned to 30-34 Hz.

Any suggestions? Opinions?
