A little damping going on here. Old school, but it works very well.

It sure does. Carring the box is a good work out, atleast for me. :)

If you notice I used 4 pieces of carpet so there are some seams if you look hard enough. The reason for the handles is so I can remove the box and go back to normal when needed.

Now the bad news, when playing music inside it is very intense, but outside it sounds like there is a silver back trying to break out. I am going to add more mass to try and help. The flex is unreal and I will make some videos soon.

I did tell the wife that this was my last build and if I ever get the wild idea to do this again, she needs to tell me it is time to grow up.

Thanks Aaron, my goal is to make these beasts sound super rich and very smooth.

This is what I have run into, I tried listening to smaller subs as they would take up less space, but after listening to 18's it is next to impossible to go back. Atleast to me.

More cone, less stress on the driver to achieve similar output, more coil in the gap. ;) :)

I was playing around today with the 4runner and cleaning it up to make some videos. At 3/4 volume you would not believe how the runner reacts. I thought something was trying to rip out of the back. I am not so sure I want to see what full volume does.

Anyhow my next video's are going to be music and not bass heavy as these subs do not miss a beat.

hey. ever heard of E.S. Posthumus? I think you might enjoy their music... Sounds great in my car... even with a blown tweeter and no "real" mids...
