Subs that hit your chest.

Recommended Posts

What makes your setup hit your chest hard?

Is it the RMS amount?

Box Tuning?

Sub?

What would be the best way to get the hard hitting, urghh my chest bass (:

I have an Fi SSD 15(copper coil), just built the box , tuned to 33hz, 3.44 cubic ft.

Powerd by a hifonics 1206d.

Box is built just waiting on the Sub to come in the mail.

If this setup isn't going to do it, then thats alright.

But what is this build good for?

The Fi SSD imo is a very underrated subwoofer! It will get loud in the right box! Make sure your amp gain is correctly set and don't over drive the input signal to the amp eg. (Bass Boost, Loudness).

if u find the cabin freq of your vehicle that will help out alot ... also try tunning port semi low 33 or 35 hz

You didn't get an answer cuz its impossible to answer with so many unknowns, as Oldsckool asked/said the vehicle has alot to do with it, not to mention enclosure. Just listing off the measurements don't mean much either, how it was built on the other hand would help. Its also a little subjective as what I consider chest pounding would make some others vomit, and there are those that laugh at my chest pounding know what I mean?
