I am loving this, even though I think Camaro's should be for performance... I'm excited looks like a badass build all around.

Thank you sir, i do have performance plans down the road after the audio and interior are completed.

After i get my alternator i will drop the amps down from 2 ohms strapped to .5 strapped.

need better voltage and to calculate box rise first.

Na, if you can get some more flex I might be able to though.

I'm sure I can work that out. I've only played about 6 or 7 songs in there. I'm still working on finding the best song.

You already built the box, you know your peak freq and the DCR is fixed at either 2 or .5, calculating box rise is pointless. If you were to build a different enclosure to combat rise, then thats a different story.

you lost me.

If i know what my rise is that will tell me weather of not i can "safely" drop my amps down to .25 each.

Couple things to think of:

1. DC Audio amps @0.25 each = fried amps

2. It is going to sound like shit

3. The electrical demand will be so high that you will need multiple +200a alternators (shit man like well over 1000amp draw) to prevent frying your amps due to insufficient current

Based on your build log and comments on a front stage I do not think you are going for a burp only setup so what does impedance rise matter? Do you even know exactly what freq your box is tuned to? probably not. Figure that out not impedance rise.

If you were building a box to combat impedance rise then that would be a different story.

It looks like your subwoofer enclosure isnt going to be altered. Run those DC Audio amps at 16v @ 1ohm (not strapped). Your voltage will be steady and you will have shit tons of power (+6Kwrms per sub :)). I am assuming you have D2 subs but you might have D1. Dont know about strapping at 16V. Contact Rusty about that.

i certainly wouldnt be listing to music at .25. DC amps will take .25. assuming i have box rise at said frequency they wont be seeing .25 anyway.

I jujst spent a shit load on batteries and wont be changing them out anytime soon. rusty didnt say shit to me on the phone yesterday about droppin them down.

Im planning on two 300a mechman alts and i have 1050 Ah worth of batteries. my box is tuned to 38 hz on paper. cars resonant freq is 53.

Welcome to SSA
