To me that looks great. I know the power is not there on the sub stage that your use to but it should sound really good.

Did you switch the phase of the sub?? Remember that it should be working backwards as compared to being mounted regular in an enclosure.

Sefugi saved me twice today! forgot to wire the sub out of phase, and after talking to him in chat he told me a hooked up the wrong RCAs. Didn't have the sub RCAs ran to channels 3&4, which are running the sub. Makes total sense, right?! :+1: :+1:

thanks, didn't notice the sub position :roflmao:

Pretty upset about the whine im getting from running channels 3&4. Can't listen to anything quietly, or else it interferes. :suicide-santa: Working on a video, dont know how long it will take to finish, as im still new to the video editing stuff

Have you tried mounting the sub inside the enclosure in comparison to inverted? I know it'll have less volume, but it seems weird inverted in a sealed box not ported.

Just curious if there would be any noticeable difference

For listening to it on my cheapo computer speakers it sounds superb especially for the whole system running off of a 4 channel amp! Seeing the rear wiper moving around I think you have great bass for a single sub in what is a small enclosure for a 12 and it's sealed. :fing34: Keep up the great work and enjoy not hauling around all that extra weight!!

Hell man that wasn't a shout out that was a documentary! Greatly appreciate it!! Wish we could work on something together, but I don't think we could live any farther away from each other!

Glad your happy with the results!!

Great work on the vid by the way!

I haven't yet. I like it way it is now. Not sure if ill be able to notice a difference. If i do go inverted i wont be able to wire it the way it is now, so ill be sending less power. Would only be able to run at 2 ohms on one channel. the amp rates that at ~160 watts, compared to what i have now; rated at 100 watts per coil. If i mount the sub normal it would take even more power to get as loud because of the lack of volume, so i think ill keep it this way. I'm happy, why fix something that's not broken :D

It's within the recommended size for the 12, POSSIBLY a little on the larger side. The new X series call for .6-1.1 ft^3, this box is .93, so i'm golden :D

Hope i got your name right ;)

This is true..

Thanks :)

Paul just called, we will be getting the false floor secured to the car on sunday. Plan to take some tubular steel and cut them to length, weld them to some steel plates to bolt to the floor. Should work much better than dowels made in 10 min.! I wanted to make a skeletal base out of 2X4s, but he said this will be easier and just as, if not stronger, than the wood. Ill take his word for it. After that I'll get a beauty pannel cut then i can really start getting some work done!

Deff like the idea of putting in the false floor. When the floor is in will it limit you on height for the sub enclosure for the sub being inverted?? What's the layout once the floor is in? What did you do about hooking up the bat? Soory, never finished chatting the other night. Have you thought about using the 1/0 to feed the bat in the rear from the front and then use the 4 ga to run the amp from there? Might help voltage by a tenth or so by using the 1/0. Good luck on getting the floor put together this weekend!!

with the floor in i'll most likely take that top "security panel" out and mount the sub sideways or something. Haven't done anything with the battery, been busy (holy FML). I plan to use the 1/0 i have in the car to connect the two batteries and take the run of 4 gauge out. I'll probably have to buy some more 1/0 before i hook up the 1500 but i can wait on that. I still get a smile on my face with just this 12.

I believe my mids are broken in, i need to turn the SSF up a little on the amp with the amount of power im sending them. Possibly have the gain too high haha :D
