I am going to take more pictures of the 61 and 38 at some point. I can post them if you like.

Would love to see some more.

Does the daughters beetle have a different colored rear bumper or is it just the lighting?

J

It was hit in the rear, so the bumper is new. The rest is just sun faded. Almost mint chip color.

Gotcha. It kinda makes it pop IMO.

J

We were going to wrap it, but that has yet to happen. When you drive the beetle you get all kinds of attention, but it is the trucks drivers that are funny as hell when they see me driving.

Neal,

Wrapping that round of a car will be a bitch.my camaro was presst hard but I couldn't imaging a beetle. Just saying.

Your going to fighting every corner if the car. The doors might be ok. If you do it, let it be someone else's headache.

I had no interest in Rome or Italy until recently.

Girl you cra cra. I would LOVE to go visit the ancient sites there. But money and not sure I could handle the plane flight hold me back. The money more so. But I'm a little claustrophobic and freak out when I feel trapped. Short plane flights I'm fine. That long in an enclosed space thousands of feet above nothing but water...ehhh...pretty sketchy.
When I flew to London I stayed up for as I could handle then popped a few sleeping pills and slept for nearly the entire flight.

That is the key. SLEEP. You can do that on a commercial plane. A C-130 not so easily.

J

I flew grey tale for my deployment on my plane (kc135) I ended up sleeping in the boom pod which happens to be not heated, luckily I had a -30 sleeping bag, but I was still chilly.

Yea I have been told about that spot. No good.

Oh, and J. Paid $47 for 2 beers yesterday. :P

Huge beers, bad exchange rate, or just that damn pricey?

I would be fine with that price if they were worth it. Were the worth it?

Curious what breakfast is like in Asia?

Speaking of tires, I can't remember the last year I ran snow tires. Would guess 10+ years.

As far as the bald ass Toyo's, I was not in pressed with the wear on the Spectrums. Yes they were mad grippy when I got them but wore WAY to fast. Wasn't overly impressed with the Michelin Harmonys either.

Damn rotted out Toyo T1R's. I was coming home from the "in-laws" today (might I say they have very good wine) and I was chasing a minivan up a slope, wet road and in a hairpin the Miata over steered bad. Minivan was going just as fast. I need tires bad. A fucking minivan had better grip.

Nice, I just put on a set of 275 R1R's. ;)

Yea, I was going to have some one do it. He does car wraps as a profession.

Bought my dad a new laptop, but I accidentally bought the 786 model (not 1080), pisses me off.

He probably won't care and the price is good. Quad core gen 4 i7 8gb RAM, ETC. Will probably add a ssd hybrid in the future.

This is definitely something applicable in many situations :)

I could climb walls with those.

On second thoughts I might have went over the road marking and that's what did it. But losing traction on a light launch around town, with the T1R's at 27, psi is not acceptable. And seeing a minivan with more grip is not acceptable.

I need 195/50 R1R's in my life. Come on already driving school, pay for the darn website.

On the other hand, I did a short drag (rolling) against an ML 320 diesel and jumped a tiny bit ahead on the 1-2 shift :D

Considering that thing has a 0-60 of 8.3 seconds, the Miata at 160k miles is still healthy.

I still like it even on my laptop. Looks raw even with that little distortion, but I like pics as I would naturally see it.

I haven't had anything "American" or European to eat in 10 days. Like Europe in Asia breakfast and lunch are pretty similar.

I didn't shoot an HDR so your eyes have more dynamic range than that pic. Crazy how good our sense of sight is. Shooting up a bit which is why I get the tower lean distortion, but it is super easily corrected but confusing for a drunk dude.
