Maybe I suck at all this though and should be ignored.  Exercise and Sean aren't really coincident.

You have it down enough.

My frustration is always living in the past or the future.  So I'm just day by day pushing myself to do something.

I'm not sleeping though.  This week it's less than 5 hours a night average I think.

Aaron, what tire are you running on the RX?

I've got P-Zero Neros and hate them.  Looking into the Pilot Sport Cup 2s.

Sweet! Love the HD600s. What tubes are you considering?

I enjoy building kits and the crack is probably the best around.

Nearly anything with and L and the word Canon written on it.

Well played Sean, but as I shoot with Nikon, unless I get an adapter that would be noting more than a paperweight for me.

Where to rent?

Does adorama or B&H not work?

I'll check them out again. It's been awhile since I shopped to rent, and I assumed someone in here had been renting recently.

Going with a 70-220 f/2.8 VRII

Forum is great on my laptop (minus not letting me give +1 rep the first try). Still absolute shit on the iPad though.

I don't rent. I should but I want to hold the lens and play. I don't learn unless I play.

So I pay so I can play.

Damnit, making me want the 70-200 2.8 again myself.  WHY am I so cheap.

For you it is less important.

I need to show you some of the pictures I took for the wedding.  You will see why the 70-200 and the 50mm 1.2 we're worth every damn cent.

Is the difference between the 1.4 and 1.2 worth the extra 300 dollars in your opinion?

I've been looking at them for some time. As this assignment fell into my lap with less than a months notice, I did not budget to pick up this lens new, and I was shopping the used market. After not finding one in the shape I wanted, at the price I wanted, wo took pay after delivery (waiting on GI Bill cash) I had no choice but to rent.

The 50mm 1.4 is great up close, great if I want a deeper depth of field, but the 70-200 2.8 will allow me much more flexibility in conjunction with the 50mm on certain shots. At least with this I can put it through it's paces for a week before I fully commit to purchasing. Additionally it's also the 'newer' VRII model.

I bought the 1.4 and Matt the 1.2.  He shoots a lot more people shots than I however.

Doesn't Nikon have a 135 f2?  Could be an interesting rental.
